BCRMTA Piano Competition 2022 Selection Results
April 1, 2022 was the deadline to receive applications for the Vancouver/Burnaby Branch auditions to select our representative for the BC Piano Competition be held on September 16-17, 2022 at Tai Na Mara Resort on Vancouver Island. On Sunday, April 10, 2022, Dr. Jane Hayes heard seven students in-person at Showcase Pianos, 1128 West Broadway.

2022 PIANO COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must include at least two contrasting selections (ARCT level or higher) to be performed during the selection process. This must include one movement of a Classical sonata and one Canadian work
- There is a strict time limit of 20 minutes. Please be accurate to avoid being cut off
- Candidates must be studying with a Vancouver/Burnaby branch member at the time of entry. If chosen, student would also need to be with a branch member for the competition in September 2022.
- Candidates must not have represented a BCRMTA branch in the BC Piano Competition in the past.
