The Vancouver/Burnaby Branch of the BCRMTA has approximately 180 teacher members within the municipalities and surrounding areas. The Branch is run by volunteers on the Executive Board and provides workshops/professional development opportunities for its members.

Provincial ~ BCRMTA
The British Columbia Registered Music Teachers' Association BCRMTA is a non-profit organization of over 900 independent Registered Music Teachers overseeing 19 branches across BC, Canada. The Association is committed to furthering the art of music through programs that support teaching and performance, while offering professional growth and networking opportunities, for teachers and musicians. The BCRMTA is run by volunteers through an Executive, as well as a Council comprised of delegates from each branch.

National ~ CFMTA/FCMTA
The Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Associations/ Fédéderation Canadienne des Associations des Professeurs de Musique CFMTA/FCMTA is an alliance of provincial and territorial music teacher associations. Its mission is to provide leadership in music education across Canada, and to promote as well as support high standards of teaching among our provincial and territorial members. The CFMTA/FCMTA is run by volunteers through a slate of Officers, as well as an Executive Committee comprised of two representatives from each provincial and territorial association.
