Mary Tickner Pedagogy Award
The Mary Tickner Pedagogy Award recognizes excellence in aspiring teachers. Ms. Tickner was a venerable member of our branch for many years, she was a supportive mentor as well as skilled instructor and we are happy to be able to honour her memory is this manner.
The winner of the Pedagogy Award will receive $300 and a one year membership in the Vancouver/Burnaby Branch. To qualify, applicants must have completed a Pedagogy Diploma from RCM, BCCM or CC during the year in question, while studying with a branch member in good standing.

The deadline is February 15 each year, the winner will be announced and posted on this website one week later.
The Provincial organization also offers the "BCRMTA Associate Teachers’ Award”. Pedagogy students may be eligible for both the local and Provincial award. Please click here to view the Provincial requirements.
