We are very pleased to provide a special workshop on Body Mapping, a technique for preventing and dealing with the types of injuries experienced by all musicians. Our clinician will be Cynthia McGladrey of Salem, Oregon and she is a highly trained clinician in the field. Vancouver Branch members and Vancouver STA members can attend for free but registration is required. Non-branch members are welcome to join us for a $50 entrance fee, you will be contacted after registration with information on payment.
Call For Performers!
Cynthia McGladry has requested that a portion of the workshop feature body mapping in action. To this end, we are asking interested participants to submit their name and the piece they would like to perform (memory is not required); lucky attendees will have their names drawn from a “hat” at the event. Ms McGladry will work on individual body mechanics to help avoid pain or injury and demonstrate how the method can be used in your teaching studio.
