The Canadian Federation of Registered Music Teachers’ Associations (CFMTA) has a 90 year history of supporting music education across Canada as evidenced by one of its most prominent projects, the bi-annual national competition. At this time, the CFMTA/FCAPM is excited to announce the July 2027 National Multidiscipline Competition (
The BCRMTA is a member of the CFMTA/FCAPM and we will send two representatives in different disciplines to the National Competition in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, July 13-16, 2027. A Provincial Competition to select these individuals will be held at Inn at the Quay, New Westminster, B.C, September 18-19, 2026.
Our branch will be holding an audition on Sunday, April 12, 2026 to select two competitors (one piano and one instrumentalist/vocalist) for the BCRMTA Multidiscipline Competition:
