Find a music teacher from the BCRMTA membership
* President's Greetings

Thank you, Manuel Bernaschek!

Our sincerest thanks to Manuel Bernaschek, owner and operator of Showcase Pianos for donating pianos to students of members of the Vancouver branch. We also congratulate him for his "move" to the Broadway store displaying a Fazioli Concert Grand in a 4,300 sq. ft. performance/recording area.

STUDENT TEACHERS’ AUXILIARY NEWS

The Student Teachers’ Auxiliary is always welcoming new members and we look forward to meeting your students soon! If you have students 16 years or older who have completed all Level 9 requirements and are looking for a stimulating and supportive environment to learn about all kinds of things that will help them to become better teachers and musicians, then please let them know about the opportunity to join the STA.

All information regarding past events and requirements for membership are found at sta.bcrmta.org or by e-mailing Dr. Carla Dodek at cmdodek@shaw.ca. Our first meetings of the year will be on September 24 and October 22.

BURSARY

Unfortunately, no applications were received for the 2017 BCRMTA Vancouver Branch Bursary but it is the sincere hope of the Committee that all RMT teachers will seriously consider putting forward any deserving students in 2018.

The next deadline is May 31, 2018. The application forms will be available and email out in the Spring and made available on the website www.bcrmta.org in the new year.

We welcome any and all questions regarding the application process. Any questions can be directly to our Bursary Coordinator, Barbara Siemens at bsiemens@pianoworkbook.com.

LAST ISSUE OF BRANCH NEWSLETTER

This will be the last issue of our Vancouver branch quarterly newsletter.

With the convenience of email communication, the Executives feel that it would be the most efficient and effective method to communicate our branch’s most up-to-date workshop and event information to our members via email as it becomes available. Thank you for the attention and support you have all given to the publication of these newsletters for so many years.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Hailey Wong at haileymusicstudio@gmail.com.
